Long time ago, the different appearance of the Sweatlodge were found all over the Earth Mother! The vanish of this "cultur" may have been entailed with the ongoing loos of being connected to the nourishing Earth and the whole creation that live on her ?!

So the "traditional" Sweatlodge can be found only among a few nations of the northamerican Natives -or her original - traditional form is kept alive by some single persons.

But in our present time - particularly in America and in Germany - there is a high amount of people who are active "Waterpourer". The amount of existing Sweatlodges is just a little bit less and it may be true that there are much more Sweatlodges today, then there ever was in former days !

I suppose and hope that most of the Waterpourer (f/m) completed a best-possible (?) education before they received permission to take over the responsibility to pour water for other people ?!

But it is also well-known that some humans took that on one`s own. As those persons really act out of their hearts and from deepest bond to creation, there`s nothing wrong to find in general...

Nevertheless :

in her present, alive form the Sweatlodge is directly connected to the northamerican Natives ! The Natives received the Sweatlodge from their ancestors in direct succession.

Native`s strictly disapproval of (Sweatlodge-) "use" by non-Natives do not base on the "historic cultural asset" only ! Maybe it has nothing to do with that at all ?!

In our "civilized world" we -- as our parents and grandparents before -- catapult ourself out of the VITAL LIFESYSTEM with supreme effort - regardless wether we have a confession... if we believe at all !

How can there arise consent ?

How can there grow certainty, that uprooted non-Natives go into the Sweatlodge in a "sacred manner" -- go into the Sweatlodge "for all our relatives" .... and the very next day (at any day!) the contrary is documented with a great extravagance and hundreds of photos in the news ?

Therefore, only RESPECT can be brought up for the rejection and reservation !!

If this respect exist deep in the heart ( and if it covers many aspects and points of view ! ), one or another may feel enough strength to reach out the own little hand -

And there may be the hope that a Grandfather or a Grandmother take the hand -- promise secure guidance !
