A Medicine-story (not) only for women
I`m sorry... the translation do not represent the original understanding of the title !
"Years of rich changing"
To the observer -
especially to the female observer who is facing the time,
the so-called
"menopause" is offering two enormous aspects:
At one side it is
something very dubious, where the woman in general
is very well
informed about the physical coherence, but find herself exposed
to an
enormous uncertainty because the dealing with this very alive part
of herself
is represented so absolutly different !
On the other side (especially if the
woman counts herself lucky to be in
certain circles) there is the impression, that
she first then develop into her
female power, her whole potential and
knowledge - and first then
caused by sudden maturity - she enable herself to
be in a state of
self-esteem and self-respect.. for her being as well as for
her body.
It is not very difficult to imagine the personal tragedy that
the woman
possibly has to face - and it is to foresee how far-reaching the
own uncertainty
and the social intercourse for the girl or the young woman is
--
given as a heritage -still now- from the mother to the daughter !
The
media at present time (again) find a very popular theme within the "menopause".
In case it is just half-serious, they give the
impression that now, all
causes
can be explained. All attendant circumstances are mentioned and in
general
they won`t neglect the note, that a well experienced M.D. (f/m) of
course
will be able to obviate this situation in a helpful way.
Is the
level a little bit higher, they may give (useful!) tips how the physical
happenings
can be supported in a convenient way.
Is the level even higher you may read
or hear about alternative forms,
like
consulting a naturopath, or they introduce the blessings of the
homoeopathic
and similar. And of course, there are recommendations
for books that
are published by female M.D. (sometimes from male M.D.
as well!) or by
"longyears experienced" journalists (f) from scientific
publishing
houses.
That realy does`nt cause a change in society's way of thinking.
Still
now, most of the women are confronted with the stigma of a
"clinical
picture" (>if you take this medicament, you`ll feel better<),
or
they`re confronted with the stigma of being "useless" (>now, you`re
coming
into a phase, where you won`t get babies anymore<)
Paraphrases like
"menopause" are very suitable to produce goosepimples
and maybe it
creates the idea that this is a temporary matter.
That does`nt give rise to
changes.
Such a changing is reachable very easy !
suppose:
There are Grandmothers (and
Grandfathers!) -- as many as you like --
no matter what age
of, and ask young granddaughters to come over -
to tell them the exiting
story of life on earth.
They would report from the little, tiny ovum that is
still settled in the
young body as a disposition.
They would speak about
the processing in all periods of humans life.
They would speak about emotions
and physical sensations,
about irritation and doubt. They would
speak about lucky feelings
and sadness and maybe they would tell
a story
for every single aspect.
The Grandmothers would invite their granddaughters
to make a journey
and together they would visit the animal-kingdom.
Very
clearly they would see the upgrowing and the getting old
and with some luck
they would experience,
how certain species go to death in its own kind --
to
fulfill the lifecircle.
The Grandmothers would guide their granddaughters out
to
show all the different plants.
The young girls would recognize how much
infinite strength
and how many possibilities every single plant use for
growing,
surviving for next generations and giving then --
without visible
hesitation --
their own physical substance back to the earth.
The Grandmothers would be able to talk about the many powers and
therapeutic
effects of the plants
and would discribe them as permanent existing guides
and helpers.
And so the young girls would learn that every single phase
of their life,
every emotion is a right part of their own.
They would
learn that animals and plants going through the same
processing and they
would learn
that there is support for feeding, for healing and for relief.
As
humans feed themselfs obvius, they can arise their self-image
to use plants
for well-being --
based on the attitude that the actual physical and mental
state
is nothing isolated in their life
but a natural aspect that can be
supported in a gentle way.
If the young granddaughters now realize that
they opened
their consciousness for the understanding of life
as well as
for the gifts of the surrounding natur,
then maybe they would ask the Grandmothers
for particularly powerful plants.
And one of the
Grandmothers probably would speak to them
about the plant
